The waves were 15-30 feet high and the wind was 25 MPH, gusting to 40-50; a stunning and powerful display. The overcast shots were south of Big Sur and the sunny shots were Monterey, North. The boiling water crashed into the cliffs, sending spray 75-100 feet up in an endless pattern.

The Sea Lions and Seals surfed and fished, enjoying the challenge.

It's raining!  An Ohio thunderstorm sky!  I'm very  disappointed, but I set up and the sky parts for 2 minutes - brilliant sun! Then more rain and overcast skies the rest of the day. At the motel the owner says it is the most rain he has seen in his entire 50 years.
